"I'm not a turkey! I'm a buzzard! A majestic bird of prey!"
- Boz to Terry

Bozwell Buzzard, or Boz, is one of Ally Cassandra's henchmen who first appeared in the cancelled TV-series, then as a duplicate enemy in Bubsy II.

Besides him and Sid doing her dirty work, he is also her private chef.

Personality

Boz speaks with a gentlemanly tone and prides himself in being a predator, but takes on a nervous attitude when he thinks to have displeased his mistress. He values order and takes his given duties very seriously, making him not the best match with his oafish colleague, who he treats with impatience. Even so, he looks out for Sid and does try to depend on him at times.

He's a skilled cook, but with a morbid taste for roadkill. He doesn't mind turning children into ingredients, making him exceptionally morally corrupt, especially when taking his intelligence and high level of self-awareness into consideration.
He has an insatiable hunger, much like Sid, and sees everyone and everything as potential prey.

It's not explained in the pilot episode why he works for Ally, as he chose to betray her the moment he was granted the opportunity.

In Bubsy II's manual, Boz' life of crime is argued to have kickstarted over his inability to interest people in his gourmet services, involving roadkill only, leading to frustration. Unlike in the TV pilot, he and Sid are presented as an independent crime duo and claimed to be best friends.

Appearance

Boz is an anthropomorphic buzzard with a large yellow beak, thick black eyebrows, clawed feet, two tail feathers, a bald head, a puffy grey collar, and black feathers covering the rest of his body. He wears a dark-red gilet with a golden button.

Trivia

  • Though claimed to be a buzzard, Boz looks like a vulture;
    • It's possible he's a turkey vulture, which are called "turkey buzzards" in some regions.
  • In Bubsy II's manual, he's named "Boz 'the Gourmet' Buzzard".
