Brian Silva (2013).
Brian Silva is an ex-Accolade employee and Bubsy's voice actor in the first instalment, Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind.
Though initially hired for his voice, the artwork included in his portfolio earned him the additional position of sprite- and background artist. He was granted the role of game developer for Bubsy II, but left the company halfway production to work at Visual Concepts for reasons unknown.
Bubsy was Silva's first big voice acting gig, until he got replaced by Rob Paulsen for the next instalment, who also happened to get the lead in the planned television series prior to Silva's departure.
Career
Brian Silva's video game career started in the 70s as a background pixel artist, while his voice acting career made its start in 1989 by performing impersonations and local commercial spots on FM 102's "Morning Zoo" in Sacramento. Afterwards, Silva became part of 97 KROY's "J.R. in the Morning" show.
His radio career came to an official end in 1991, and a year later, he responded to a video game magazine ad from Accolade, looking for a voice actor for their upcoming game, Bubsy.
After working for the company for roughly a year, he moved to Visual Concepts (1993-1996), PostLinear Entertainment (1996), Midway Games (1997-2003), Q Entertainment (2003-2004), Swingin' Ape Studios (2004), and then Blizzard after the studio was bought by them.
A 2015 interview with Segabits revealed he was working for Specular Interactive -an entertainment company set up by Swingin' Ape's founder- and co-created the arcade games, H2Overdrive, Project HADES, Dirty Drivin', and Batman.
He was also involved with a few cancelled productions, like Crank the Weasel, as co-creator and voice of Crank, and Congo: The Secret of Zinj, where he was given the full lead to a game for the first time.
Silva has voiced multiple games around the 2000s, but there's no further public record of his work and his current whereabouts are unknown.
